Features: The main features of this book are twofold:
1. Rich selection. It includes 570 entries of common verb words and 718 entries of fixed collocations (also known as phrasal verb entries), along with nearly 15,000 example sentences. The criteria for selecting words are primarily their common usage and those that Chinese learners of English often find difficult to master. The example sentences are mainly sourced from foreign books. The text is generally not arbitrarily altered to ensure reliability.
2. Detailed arrangement. All entries are first categorized by definition. In each sense, the verb's transitive (vt.) or intransitive (vi.) characteristics, common structures (including verb patterns), and idioms are provided, followed by diverse typical example sentences to illustrate the aforementioned features.
