Features: Under the historical context of China's accession to the WTO, in order to adapt to the development of the socialist market economy and the demand for legal talent in the rule of law, teachers from the Civil Procedure Law Teaching and Research Office of Southwest University of Political Science and Law, who have long been engaged in teaching and practical work in law, arbitration, and notarization, have jointly compiled this book. Based on the relevant legal provisions of the current Law of the People's Republic of China on Lawyers, Arbitration Law, and the Notarization System, and drawing on domestic and international research findings, this book systematically elaborates on the basic systems and theoretical issues of lawyers, notaries, and arbitrators. It also strives to highlight the practical characteristics of lawyers, notaries, and arbitrators, aiming to achieve a unified understanding of both the basic systems and practical operations. To gain a competitive edge in the market, lawyers, notaries, and arbitrators must achieve the "Three Understandings"—"understanding law, understanding the economy, and understanding foreign languages." They must also understand the thinking patterns and business habits of foreigners, be familiar with foreign laws and situations, and truly grasp their own national conditions, being skilled in both speaking and writing. Only in this way can they become qualified lawyers, notaries, or arbitrators. To achieve this goal, it is essential to strengthen legal education and cultivate well-rounded individuals. Guided by the principle that teaching must be based on books, we have compiled this textbook.
