Features: Liang Zhiping was born in 1959. In 1978, he graduated from Southwest University of Political Science and Law with a bachelor's degree in law. In the same year, he was admitted to the Law Department of Renmin University of China to pursue a master's degree in legal history. In 1985, he graduated and obtained a master's degree in law. That year, he joined the university as a faculty member. In 1993, he transferred to the Institute of Chinese Culture at the Chinese Academy of Arts, specializing in academic research. He is currently a researcher and deputy director of the institute, with expertise in legal philosophy, legal history, and comparative legal culture. His major works include Seeking Harmony in the Natural Order: A Study of Traditional Chinese Legal Culture, On Law, Law, Morality, and Emotion, The Cultural Interpretation of Law, Customary Law in the Qing Dynasty: Society and State, and Selected Works of Liang Zhiping.
