Features: The Design Center of Université de Montréal in Quebec is currently exhibiting the works of Raymond Savignac (RaymDndsavignac)! This event provides us with an opportunity to rediscover this innovator of post-war poster design. As creations made for slogans in graphic design, his posters possess a childlike innocence and naturalness. Yet, amidst what appears to be carelessness, those minimalist linear styles are indeed masterpieces of visual art. Savignac wanted his works to possess "obvious beauty," aiming to create concepts and humor where distinctive characters could resonate with passersby. This language has already spread widely, traversing countries and eras with astonishing ease. Today, it is even more striking, and yet this creation has stood the test of time for half a century.
