Features: "The Great Encyclopedia of Chinese Films" is a comprehensive collection of all feature films, traditional opera films, and stage art films produced by various film production institutions in China since the birth of Chinese cinema in 1905. The book is divided into four volumes according to the production years, with this volume being the second, covering the period from 1931 to September 1949. This volume includes 955 films and 156 stills, providing a relatively complete and comprehensive reflection of the early and mid-development of Chinese cinema in terms of production and trajectory. Following the overall editorial structure of "The Great Encyclopedia of Chinese Films," since the films included in this volume are from the early and mid-period of Chinese cinema, the names of the creative and production personnel, as well as the order of their arrangement, vary in the regular projects of each production institution, even within the same institution.
