Features: International Finance (Second Edition) is a major reform and innovation in the current curriculum and teaching system, developed by the International Finance Teaching Team of Renmin University of China. This book is based on the two major platforms of Professor Huang Da's "Finance" and Professor Mundell's "International Economics," and it has undergone more than three years of teaching practice and repeated deliberation. It systematically introduces the basic knowledge and content framework of international finance, focusing on stimulating readers' interest in learning. It adheres to an "applied economics perspective," a "Chinese perspective," and an internationalization orientation. It is the first international finance textbook in China that integrates micro and macro perspectives, is comprehensive in content, and is logically rigorous. The book consists of an introduction and three main parts. The introduction helps readers understand the current dynamics of international finance research and practice and lays out the basic content framework of the book. Part 1, "International Financial Markets," starts with the basic knowledge of foreign exchange and exchange rates, covering the global foreign exchange market, derivative markets, offshore markets, as well as the international asset portfolio investment and international banking active in these markets. Part 2, "Financial Management of Multinational Corporations," systematically discusses the foreign exchange risk management, international direct investment, and short-term and long-term asset and liability management of multinational corporations. Multinational corporations are important participants in the international financial market and serve as a key link between micro financial activities and macro policy choices. Part 3, "Internal and External Balance Theory and Policy," focuses on the macroeconomics of open economies, starting with balance of payments and balance of payments statements, covering the macroeconomic equilibrium of open economies, macro policy tools and their effects, exchange rate system choices, international capital flows, and financial crises. The book concludes with the prevention and management of financial crises.
