Features: When the "Network Culture Research Center" was first established in the country, we at Jingdian eagerly anticipated that the research outcomes would confirm the necessity and importance of studying this topic. When I held the thick manuscript and asked Mr. Ji Xianlin to review it, his heartfelt joy was evident as he readily wrote the book title. Overwhelmed with emotion, I reread the academic papers one by one, deeply feeling that every word and sentence permeated the profound reflections of experts and scholars on this new cultural phenomenon, the network culture, in the new era. Network culture research is a new topic of the new era, encompassing a wide and extensive scope. How to approach the research in this field is the primary issue to be addressed. On August 26, 2003, the Research Center and CCTV International Network jointly held an academic symposium. The theme of this symposium was "Network Culture and Social Development." The conference attracted attention from people from all walks of life across the country. Mr. Ji Xianlin sent a congratulatory message, expressing his sincere hope that the Center could make new contributions in this emerging field of research.
