Features: During the process of studying Japanese literature, culture, and aesthetics, I was deeply moved by the beauty of Japanese art. After completing the writing plans for three books—History of Japanese Literature, History of Japanese Culture, and The Aesthetic Consciousness of the Japanese People—and editing the "Illustrated Classics of Japanese Literature Series," my mind and body were completely immersed in the beauty of Japanese art. With an enthusiastic passion for exploring Japanese art, I eagerly wanted to compile an illustrated treasury of Japanese art to present to my fellow countrymen, sharing the joy of this artistic beauty. Perhaps people may ask: Where is the beauty of Japanese art? Why does Japanese art possess such great charm?“Eastward Flowing Art Treasury,” the beauty of Japanese art will clearly emerge from simple words and vividly appear in colorful images. Their beauty stems both from the source of Japanese indigenous culture and from the fruit of the "hybridization" between Japanese culture and foreign culture, distinctly reflecting the characteristics of Japanese national art.
