Features: In the current global economy, two major trends coexist: on one hand, economic globalization is accelerating, and on the other hand, regional blocs are rapidly developing. In the process of economic globalization, the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) and the World Trade Organization (WTO) play important roles. This book focuses on the two major themes of global economic integration and regional economic blocs, elaborating on the economic and trade relationships between countries and regions. The book includes approximately 200 maps, covering world maps, continental maps, regional maps, country and regional maps, city maps, and ocean maps. Regional maps, country and regional maps, and city maps are the main focus, providing a comprehensive reflection of the natural and socio-economic conditions of countries and important cities worldwide.
The "World Overview Atlas" breaks the conventional format of world atlases, which primarily feature national and regional maps, by including a significant number of regional maps. Based on world maps, continental maps, regional maps, and ocean maps, it introduces many influential international organizations, explaining their purposes and functions. In the country and regional maps, we also emphasize an overview of economic and trade aspects, describing the social conditions, natural environment, resource conditions, economic characteristics, and foreign trade of each country or region, along with flags and coat of arms. To facilitate international exchanges, we have also compiled city plans for most capitals and some economic centers.
