Features: In recent years, with the rapid development of medical science, new theories and technologies in basic orthopedic principles, disease diagnosis, and surgical methods have continuously emerged. Particularly in the fields of minimally invasive surgery, imaging, molecular biology, tissue engineering, and biomaterials, research has greatly promoted the advancement of clinical orthopedics, updating traditional theories and concepts in the field. Clinical orthopedic physicians must quickly master the new technologies and knowledge in their professional field to meet the urgent needs of clinical and scientific research in the new era. Therefore, we have organized renowned experts and scholars in China to jointly write the book "New Theories and Technologies in Clinical Orthopedics." The guiding principle for writing this book is to summarize the recent advances in orthopedics over the past decade from a clinical perspective, aiming to gather the strengths of various schools and reflect the current new theories and new developments in the field, enabling readers to acquire more knowledge and skills in the least amount of time and fastest speed. The book is divided into 5 parts and 47 chapters. Part I is the Basic Theory Part, which provides a detailed introduction to the new basic theories and developments in the field of orthopedics, focusing on research progress in biomechanics, artificial bone, tissue engineering, bone tumors, and the repair of bone and cartilage injuries. Part II is the Imaging Part, which systematically introduces the diagnostic value of ultrasound, CT, MRI, DSA, and radioactive nuclides in orthopedics. Part III is the Trauma Part, which mainly introduces the treatment progress of multiple fractures and spinal fractures, and also provides a detailed description of the early diagnosis and treatment of peripheral vascular injuries and the surgical treatment of pelvic fractures. Part IV is the Disease Part, which systematically elaborates on the diagnostic and treatment progress of spinal system diseases and peripheral nerve compression syndromes. Part V is the Surgery Part, which provides a detailed introduction to the advances in internal and external fixation of various fractures, artificial joint replacement, minimally invasive surgery, hand surgery, and new developments and technologies in spinal surgery. This book integrates advanced concepts, scientific rigor, and practicality, and references a large number of domestic and international monographs and new literature (due to space limitations, only references from the past 5 years are listed at the end of the text). It is suitable for senior orthopedic and trauma emergency physicians, as well as serving as a reference book for master's and doctoral students in orthopedics. Due to the limited level of the editors, the book cannot comprehensively overview the new theories and technologies in all aspects of orthopedics, and there may also be errors and inappropriate places. We sincerely welcome readers to point out any shortcomings.
