Volume 1: Humanity began to look back at history, and the mysterious Egypt captivated our attention in a direction. The Bantu expedition by the Egyptians, the circumnavigation of Africa by the Phoenicians, the military expedition of Alexander the Great, and the Baffin Bay expedition in the North Atlantic took us one by one into mysterious regions. Marco Polo traveled east, Zheng He also went to the Atlantic, Vasco da Gama discovered a new route, and Christopher Columbus discovered a new continent, opening up new routes! Magellan circumnavigated the Earth, an unprecedented achievement that shocked Europe! The Aztec Empire established on the Yucatán Peninsula represented the highest achievement of the American Indian civilization, writing the history of the conquest of Mexico. The thirst for gold stimulated adventurers, Peru—the Golden Empire—how did it come to the brink? Since the colonizers invaded South America, a legend about gilded people has been widely circulated.
Volume 2: The Amazon River originates from the Andes Mountains, and a group of adventurers entered it with sailboats! The Bering Strait—burial ground of foxes! For various reasons, people are always searching for unknown continents. After Torres discovered Australia, the mysterious veil of the Southern Continent was lifted, and for this, this great navigator after Columbus made three voyages to the Pacific. Bougainville led an expedition team that conducted extensive scientific research during the three years of navigation, following Torres in proving that the New Hebrides Islands were not a continent. This was a far-reaching expedition of civilization. If the two voyages were just to prove, then Lewis’s expedition was more than just proof—he actually explored vast territories for the United States. Darwin’s South American expedition, the mystery of the Nile River, the Sahara Desert, the ice sea, the Arctic, the Antarctic, and the moon—these all hold a sense of mystery and allure for explorers.
