To support this major initiative, we have compiled this "" based on the "Recommended Poems and Prose for Recitation" listed in the newly promulgated "Teaching Outline for Full-Time Senior High School Chinese" by the Ministry of Education. We have also provided annotations, content appreciation, and relevant knowledge links for the classical Chinese poetry and prose, integrating the learning of poetry and prose with writing practice, allowing students to unconsciously deepen their understanding and enhance their memory during the writing process. It can be used as supplementary material for the new Chinese textbooks. Considering that some students may have just started learning calligraphy, we have included basic writing techniques on the earlier pages, offering professional guidance for beginners. At the same time, we have also considered the writing habits and calligraphy needs of high school students, selecting standardized regular script while adding more practical running script. Renowned calligraphers Tian Yingzhang (regular script) and Wu Yusheng (running script) have meticulously written in their respective preferred styles. Students can choose the font they are interested in for practice. We sincerely hope this book can become a good teacher and friend for all high school students, providing help in learning, reciting, and memorizing classical Chinese poetry and prose. More importantly, we hope that everyone can practice beautiful calligraphy while promoting learning, accumulating knowledge, and cultivating cultural literacy.
