In English learning, reading and writing are two crucial components. Particularly in recent years, the proportion of reading and writing has been increasing in various English-related exams. To address this, we have developed this series of books, English Reading and Writing Integration Training, based on the national new curriculum standards. The series consists of six volumes: Grade 7, Grade 8, Grade 9, Grade 10, Grade 11, and Grade 12. Each volume is tailored to the knowledge points and reading difficulty of its respective grade, featuring corresponding reading passages and writing exercises that organically combine reading comprehension and written expression, reflecting the close connection and interdependence between reading and writing in English learning.
This series is based on reading to improve writing skills. Targeted reading materials are selected, and exercises such as multiple-choice, fill-in-the-blanks, and sentence-making are designed around relevant word usage, sentence structures, and idiomatic expressions. This micro-level practice enhances vocabulary application skills and tests grammar mastery. On this foundation, exercises are set around word usage, sentence structures, and idiomatic expressions, serving as a bridge to establish the "Writing Extension" section, ultimately aiming to improve readers' writing abilities.
Additionally, specific requirements are provided in written expression exercises, such as expanding or summarizing reading materials, incorporating certain words, sentence structures, and idiomatic expressions, or practicing relevant essay writing based on the reading material's theme. During this process, readers are expected to apply reading knowledge to writing practice and compare the two to identify gaps. This approach helps readers accumulate experience while improving both reading and writing skills.
