Features: Fine chemical products are a very important category of chemical products, accounting for a significant proportion of product varieties. In the context of rapid scientific and technological development and increasingly accelerated alignment with international standards, product updates and replacements are becoming faster, with new products and technologies continuously emerging. This book was compiled to keep pace with technological advancements and meet the needs of a broad readership.
1. The book collects nearly 10,000 fine chemical products, primarily including 26 major categories:
A. Pesticides
B. Dyes
C. Coatings
D. Pigments
E. Reagents and Polymer Reagents
F. Information Chemicals
G. Food Additives
H. Feed Additives
I. Adhesives
J. Catalysts
K. Textile and Dyeing Auxiliaries
L. Plastic Auxiliaries
M. Rubber Auxiliaries
N. Water Treatment Chemicals
O. Polymer Synthesis Auxiliaries
P. Surfactants
Q. Leather Chemicals
R. Oilfield Chemicals
S. Paper Chemicals
T. Pharmaceuticals
U. Fragrances and Flavors
V. Daily Chemicals
W. Electronic Chemicals
X. Functional Polymers
Y. Electroplating Chemicals
Z. Biochemical Products
2. Each major category is represented by a single uppercase English letter and is arranged in alphabetical order. Under each major category, there are several subcategories (represented by lowercase English letters), also arranged in alphabetical order. Each subcategory contains specific product varieties (represented by three-digit numbers), arranged in numerical order. Thus, each product is assigned a five-digit code, such as "Aa001," which represents the first product in the subcategory "Pesticide Emulsifiers" under the major category "Pesticides" (see index).
3. Each category includes an overview of its products, introducing not only the general characteristics, properties, features, and development of the products but also some common content specific to the category. This approach helps readers grasp the overall picture while reducing repetitive information.
4. For each product, the following sections are primarily provided:
- Product Name
- English Name
- Aliases (including common alternative names and some commercial names)
- Structure or Composition
- Properties (including basic physicochemical properties and features)
- Specifications (including different models and quality standards)
- Preparation Method
- Applications (including usage methods and precautions)
- Manufacturers (information collected as of June 2003).
Additional sections may be added to major categories based on their specific characteristics (e.g., toxicity, packaging, and storage).
5. The book includes a comprehensive classification index at the beginning and a Chinese index (sorted by Pinyin) and an English index (sorted alphabetically) at the end. The indexes correspond to the product codes in the main text, allowing readers to locate relevant information about each product by its code.
This book was compiled by a team of experts and scholars from across China, organized by Chemical Industry Press.
