Socrates thought this way

Features: Happiness is the theme of Socrates' life, and he pointed out that everyone must achieve it in some way. Socrates is the father of Western philosophy, yet his unique way of thinking is very Eastern. Socrates was grotesquely ugly: his face was flat, as if it had been flattened by a pan; his lips were thick; his nose was flat, large, and upturned, a combination of a lion's nose and a hook-nose; his eyes were far apart, with the style of "Mei Jian Chi"; his eyes were bulging, with a fierce gaze; he had a large belly, not filled with fat but with tolerance and erudite knowledge. Perhaps the heavens created him in this appearance to show people the true charm of a philosopher. The heavens are fair; since they bestowed upon him unparalleled wisdom and talent, they must take a cut from his looks. Socrates' ugliness, like his philosophy, enjoys great fame, but he was very charming to women and an expert in love. "Socrates' wife" is a term for a shrewish and bad wife. She was narrow-minded and stubborn, often making Socrates feel embarrassed. When asked why he married such a woman, Socrates humorously replied, "A person skilled in horseback riding must choose a fierce horse to ride. Once they are accustomed to riding fierce horses, handling other horses becomes easy. If I can endure such a woman, there are probably no difficult people in the world to get along with." If you feel inferior about your appearance, draw closer to Socrates and discard the kind of self-loathing that only petty people have, because it is of no benefit except to destroy your confidence.
