Features: Chinese text message writer Dai Pengfei expresses a play in the style of text messaging, which is currently a hit at the People's Art Theater. This book is aimed at urbanites who are confused and struggle for ideals and love. Through the humorous words and exaggerated actions of the protagonist, Hao Danman, it reflects the amusing stories around us. Life's troubles, emotional confusion, the joy of success, and attitudes toward life are all vividly portrayed in a lighthearted tone and lively format. Just as the book's title is "Feeling Good About Yourself," it reveals the genuine yet vain side of human nature.
One day, Su Xiaomi discovers she has leukemia. To avoid burdening her boyfriend, Hao Danman, she insists on breaking up with him. One day, Danman encounters Xiaomi "flirting" with Dr. Fan in the hospital, unaware that it was a play performed by Xiaomi and her uncle for him. Xiaomi says that doctors earn a lot of money, giving her a sense of security. If Danman can earn 300,000 yuan within a month, she promises to take him back. Unwillingly, Danman "sells" himself for 300,000 yuan to the owner of a matchmaking agency. However, when the money is in hand, Xiaomi learns that her leukemia was misdiagnosed. When she tries to reconcile with Danman, she finds that the feelings are no longer there.
This book is a contemporary, festive, and humorous novel by Dai Pengfei, created for the Year of the Dog. Its purpose is to provide urbanites, who are increasingly exhausted, with a quick and significant relaxation. Through life's insights, the struggles of life, the joys and sorrows of love, and the dreams of optimism toward career and life opportunities—from beginning to end, the betrayal of a beloved girlfriend, the temptation of the matchmaking agency owner, and the shattering of the dream of a "free lunch from the sky"—Hao Danman's story reveals the genuine yet vain side of human nature. The story covers career, love, life, social interactions, and more, with an unexpected ending full of drama.
