Features: The Fruit-Gathering is a poetry collection that focuses on religious lyrical songs, primarily selected from Balaka (1916), Gitalt (1914), Gitimatya (1914), Utsarga (1914), Khaya (1906), as well as Samaran (1903), written in memory of his deceased wife, and Katha (1900), hailed as the "textbook of patriotism." The Offering and The Ferryman are mainly selected from DhrmaSangit (1917), Balaka, Khaya, Gitimatya, Gitanjali (1910), and Kahanika (1900). The Ferryman goes further, standing at the ferry crossing from this shore to the other, from this world to the next, calmly awaiting the day when death draws near. Tagore's English translation differs greatly from the original Bengali, being his own recreation. While translating these two poetry collections, although the original texts were checked, only one or two poems were slightly edited due to the ambiguity of the English translation meaning, while the rest remained largely unchanged.
