A century of cinema has presented the public with countless classic movie songs. It can be said that every movie song can become a symbolic emblem of a film. When the melody lingers, all sleeping memories are awakened and soar, classic movie scenes flicker before our eyes, time pauses in this moment and then swiftly passes, as if in an instant, the tides have turned and the world has changed. A person's memory of a film is condensed into its melody. In the new century of 2005, a wave of singing swept across all ages, with movie songs from past generations being frequently covered. On the occasion of the centennial of cinema, as the year draws to a close, Hunan Literature and Art Publishing House has launched this collection, "Singing Together: Movie Songs." The songbook is arranged in chronological order by the year of film release, featuring 204 movie theme songs and instrumental pieces that were once widely recognized and are still widely sung today. Here, we can see the flowing lineage of Chinese movie songs. Opening this songbook, each piece moves us, each powers us, and each melody stirs our emotions. Let us follow the melody of the movies to reminisce about the years that once moved us, made us laugh, touched us, and brought us tears!
