Features: The title of Three Hundred Chinese Folk Songs was inspired by Three Hundred Tang Poems. This set consists of two volumes: the first volume includes 129 Han Chinese folk songs, while the second volume includes 171 folk songs of ethnic minorities. Together, the two volumes are titled Three Hundred Chinese Folk Songs. This set carefully selects representative and outstanding songs from Chinese ethnic and folk music, with contributions from many renowned composers and singers who have meticulously composed piano accompaniments for each song. The over 100 Han Chinese folk songs in this book have a strong foundation among the people, each featuring beautiful melodies and sincere, heartfelt emotions—arguably the essence of China's ethnic music culture. Additionally, the book includes selected compositions inspired by folk music elements, showcasing a strong folk music style for reference. These songs can be directly performed at concerts and also serve as valuable resources for professional composers and researchers studying folk songs, demonstrating both academic and practical value. In the English-Chinese parallel translations of this set, some transliterated song titles (without translation of meaning) are not rendered according to the pronunciation of Chinese Pinyin. For example, the Tibetan folk song Lolo is not translated as LuoLuo according to the pronunciation of Chinese Pinyin, but as LoLo based on English phonetic pronunciation, as this better approximates the actual sound.
