Features: With the rapid development of EEG image analysis technology and the continuous deepening of research and understanding of EEG phenomena, beginners are required to engage in extensive and in-depth reading of various normal, abnormal, and potential artifacts, followed by clinical judgment under the supervision of EEG experts. This atlas lists various EEG variants, accompanied by specific examples, providing detailed discussions and explanations for each figure, which is its greatest feature. After repeated reading, one will feel that each figure is a living textbook, as if gazing from the shoulders of giants. Previous practices have proven that this atlas has played an important role in both the training of beginners and the continuing education of EEG specialists. To meet the ever-changing needs of EEG practice and the expanding scope of EEG demand, two new chapters have been added in the second edition: Digital EEG and the Application of EEG in the ICU. In the preface and introduction of this edition, Dr. Herber H. Jasper, the president and founder of the American EEG Society, and the authors of this atlas have previously stated that this atlas complements another textbook primarily focused on text. However, the revised second edition clearly stands as a self-contained masterpiece.
