Features: In each poem selected in this book, there are five parts: author bio, the poem itself, annotations, analysis, and translation. The author bio is kept concise, only including birth and death years, name and style name, place of origin, official career, and collected poems. It does not delve deeply into the background or creative path of their poetry. In the annotations, they are also kept brief, and references to classical allusions are only noted when absolutely necessary, with minimal direct quotes. The analysis and translation sections are also challenging tasks, and we have done our utmost to ensure quality. The order of the poets is arranged based on their birth years for convenience in reference. Poets whose birth and death years are unknown or uncertain are placed in approximate chronological order within the relevant sections.
