Features: For a book to become a book, regardless of its size, it requires certain indispensable conditions. As for this small book, the original materials were accumulated early on. However, the actual value of the accumulated materials, beyond the author's continuous selection and elimination, depended on the direct and indirect evaluation by peers. Fortunately, in addition to the guidance and support from the respected senior colleagues and predecessors whom the author admires, the author also has a few friends who enjoy discussing various issues related to textual translation. After the manuscript took initial shape, either some chapters or the entire book, the author invited these friends to read it from different perspectives, providing highly valuable feedback, such as striving to reflect the unique features of this book, ensuring precise analysis of examples, avoiding theory while emphasizing practice, and so on. Based on their suggestions, the author reanalyzed the accumulated index cards, selected dozens of examples, and added new chapters from fresh angles, making this small book appear more substantial than before.
