Features: Whenever I enter a bookstore and browse through the dazzling array of college entrance examination books, I am often overwhelmed and an idea naturally arises to compile this book. Based on my 20 years of teaching experience and the teaching requirements of college-level color foundation courses, I would like to share some reflections on college entrance examination color teaching for everyone's reference. This book is rich in illustrations and content, with a clear teaching structure, prominent features, and a progressive approach from simple to complex. It is not only suitable for color foundation teaching in various colleges and universities but also for self-study guidance for college entrance examination students. It enables students to master a correct approach to tackling the college entrance examination in a relatively short period of time. As a teaching requirement for color foundation courses in higher art academies, it serves as a bridge connecting foundational learning and further studies.
The teaching approach is clearly defined, with the curriculum designed around the college entrance examination. The college entrance examination assesses students' mastery of color fundamentals. By analyzing the content of examination questions from major art institutions across the country in recent years, a series of requirements are proposed for the book's teaching approach, methodology, and content—specifically, how to teach and how to help students achieve excellent academic performance to realize their dreams.
The content structure of this course (see Volume 1, Volume 2) clearly outlines the teaching principles of color, emphasizing the importance of starting with tone training and strengthening small sketch exercises to allow students to truly grasp the essence of tone. It addresses observation, rendering, and methods, cultivating students' keen eyesight to capture the ever-changing world of color, laying a foundation for later large-scale training. It also enhances technical expression training to equip students with proficient skills, enabling them to achieve vivid and expressive color language. Building on this, further training in tone variation is conducted to assess students' practical ability in adjusting tones. By analyzing the quality of their work, students develop unique and solid "skills," or a strong foundation in their craft.
After purposefully and systematically addressing the issues at each stage, the learning cycle is shortened, and a fast, efficient path to high scores is found. This is the purpose and significance of compiling this book.
