Is cervical erosion the same as cervicitis?

Patient's question:

Last week, I noticed that my leukorrhea contained blood streaks after sexual intercourse. I went to the hospital for a gynecological examination, and the doctor said I had cervical inflammation. I have a colleague with the same symptoms, and she said she has cervical inflammation and has undergone laser treatment. Is cervical inflammation the same as cervical inflammation?

Doctor's answer:

Patient, cervical erosion and cervical inflammation are the same, just different in personal language habits. If it's just cervical inflammation and not serious, and hasn't caused precancerous lesions of the cervix, laser treatment is usually not necessary, and medication treatment is the same. Those who directly perform laser treatment without discrimination are mostly private hospitals. If a thorough examination reveals recurrence of precancerous lesions of the cervix and it is relatively severe, laser surgery can be used to stabilize the condition.
