Features: This code was formulated in accordance with the requirements of Document No. 250 of the State Planning Commission (Ji Zong [1986]), and was primarily edited by the Ministry of Chemical Industry. The revision was carried out jointly by China National Chemical Engineering Company and relevant units, based on the previous "Code for the Design of Electrical Devices in Explosive and Fire Hazardous Environments GBJ58-83." During the revision process, the code drafting group conducted extensive research, summarized the experience since the implementation of the code, absorbed some research achievements, widely solicited opinions from relevant units across the country, and finally reviewed and finalized it in conjunction with the Ministry and relevant departments. The main revisions include: the classification of hazardous areas in explosive gas environments, explosive dust environments, and fire hazard environments; the scope of hazardous areas; and the selection of electrical equipment.
