Landscape paintings primarily fall into three categories: realistic, expressive, and imitative of ancient styles. Among these, realistic landscape paintings are most distinctive, also known as exquisite and meaningful. Realistic landscape paintings can be further categorized by content into several types, such as visiting scenic spots and recording journeys, secluded residences and estates, elegant gatherings and literary clubs, and seeking visits and farewells.
