Features: The guidance of war is like a doctor treating a patient—it is an art. The doctor's purpose is to prevent and treat people's illnesses, alleviating the suffering they cause the body. The purpose of politicians and soldiers, however, is to prevent, treat, and mitigate the "diseases" of the international "body"—that is, war. Unfortunately, this is not something many people have noticed. Now, the techniques for treatment are already based on science, while the guidance of war is still stuck in the stage of alchemy. What's worse, in this century, war has reverted to the barbaric form of destruction and slaughter. This book is not the history of war since 1789, nor does it observe the guidance of war solely from a military perspective. Instead, it examines their impact on war from the development of politics, economy, and society. To avoid making this book too long, I do not intend to examine all developments, but only select some examples that I believe are relatively important. In the chapters discussing specific wars, I also do not plan to discuss them in detail, but rather aim to select some aspects to better illustrate their guidance, and more importantly, their misguided guidance.
