Features: China's tour guide qualification examination, implemented since 1989, has gradually formed a set of learning and examination materials recognized by tourism administrative departments, experts, and candidates. During this period, the Human Resources and Labor Education Department of the China National Tourism Administration (CNTA) has revised the textbooks multiple times, striving to provide more effective guidance and assistance to candidates and tourism students in colleges and universities in learning tour guide professional knowledge. In 2000, the CNTA proposed further reforms to the tour guide examination, emphasizing the need to improve the professional quality of tour guides and focus on cultivating their practical work skills. Accordingly, the examination content and format were reviewed and revised by tourism administrative department officials, college and university instructors, travel agency management personnel, and some senior tour guides with long-standing experience in the field, leading to the writing of this book.
