Features: This book is one of Haiyan's novels with the most romantic and idealistic elements. Its fluent and poignant language, coupled with a rollercoaster of plots, portrays a heart-stirring and extraordinary love story. Haiyan's newly created full-length novel, The Jade Hairpin, is another work where he portrays romantic love through a realistic style. Compared to his previous works, this full-length novel shows significant changes in character portrayal, language style, lifestyle, and plot structure. However, these changes do not affect the readability and enjoyability that Haiyan's novels are known for. It is a lyrical work that celebrates the goodness and tolerance of Chinese women, blending ingenuity with simplicity, softness with strength, and maintaining fine craftsmanship without compromising grandeur.
In The Jade Hairpin, Haiyan tells a rollercoaster of a love story. Anxin, a female police officer, has her life dramatically changed by an accidental "affair." Torn between family and enemies, emotion and the law, she suffers through a brutal experience with death and rediscovers the sweetness of love. Ultimately, she grows into a strong and complete woman, dedicating herself to the extremely difficult and dangerous work of combating drug trafficking.
Haiyan excels at blending police-criminal themes with love stories. His characters are vividly portrayed, and his plots are gripping. Haiyan's novels, known for their youthful passion and intense portrayal of human nature, have gained many readers in recent years. The publication of The Jade Hairpin will not only allow readers to enjoy Haiyan's traditional style but also discover new breakthroughs.
According to some people in the literary circle who have already read the work, its captivating story and colorful characters will, like his other novels, make it a target for film and television directors.
