Preface: Seeing that our highway company has compiled its own toll collector training textbook, I am truly delighted. Every word in it not only embodies the dedication of the authors but also represents the six years of practice and wisdom of the Chengya people. It is a chronicle of six years of hard work and a song of dedication written with blood, sweat, and tears on the Chengya road. Toll collectors are the backbone of our highway industry workforce, comprising the vast majority of employees. They bear the responsibility of providing toll collection services on highways. They face society directly and serve drivers and passengers. The overall quality and professional competence of toll collectors directly affect the normal operation of highway management. At the same time, most toll collectors are young people, who are the future backbone of our transportation industry. Their healthy growth is closely linked to the development of the transportation sector. Compiling such a textbook is necessary to improve the self-quality of toll collectors, to meet the needs of sustainable corporate development, and to enhance the level of civilized service in the industry.
Highway management is still a relatively new concept in China, with no existing management experience or models to follow. As managers, we must not only adopt an attitude of active exploration and bold innovation but also have the responsibility to continuously summarize our work, identify patterns, and elevate them into systematic, standardized, and institutionalized management experience. By leading by example, we can promote the development of both material and spiritual civilization in the entire industry. This toll collector training textbook has set a good start for us in this regard and is worth promoting.
Practice, summary, and improvement are an ongoing cycle of continuous advancement. We hope the company will use this as a new starting point to guide employees in consolidating past achievements, engaging in new practices, and providing society with safe, high-quality, efficient, and civilized services. We also hope the company will continue to explore and refine management practices, improve textbook content, and ensure it meets the evolving demands of highway management, becoming a fundamental guideline and trusted companion for toll collectors in their work. This will contribute to raising the level of highway management and the civilization of the industry.
