Fu Boshi, the painter who illustrated the The Complete Story of Yue Fei comic book, was determined to restore Yue Fei's historical truth and wrote this 300,000-word serial novel. It is a popular biographical novel that spans from the era of Emperor Huizong of Song to the end of the Southern Song Dynasty, providing well-documented accounts and historical retractions of all events related to Yue Fei. After the main text, an appendix titled A Correction of Errors in The Complete Story of Yue Fei is included, which meticulously points out and clarifies the inaccuracies in each chapter of the legendary novel.
