Features: "Ten Years Chronicle" is a compilation of conference activities and records, aiming to document what the Shale Industry Fund has accomplished over the ten years since its establishment, how it was done, what has been implemented with tangible results, and what was envisioned but hindered by limitations, remaining only on paper. All these are arranged chronologically and compiled into one volume for a comprehensive review of the Shale Industry Fund's decade-long journey. The main purposes of publishing this small booklet are threefold: to record, document, and chronicle. It provides a background for studying the process of a theoretical concept moving into practice. We hope readers can gain information from it and experience and share the hardships and joys of doing things with us. The ten years of the Shale Industry Fund have taught us that the Shale Industry, as a knowledge-intensive large-scale agriculture, is part of the sixth industrial revolution—a theoretical concept that will only bear fruit in the mid-21st century. To understand the theory of the Shale Industry, one must grasp its forward-looking, strategic, and visionary characteristics. The ten years of the Shale Industry Fund have taught us that practical activities are the best means to test the vitality and reliability of the Shale Industry's theoretical concept; practice is the correct path to enrich and refine the theoretical concept. "Ten Years Chronicle" mainly consists of two parts: the background of establishing the fund to promote the development of the Shale Industry and a record of the ten years' activities. However, an appendix has been added to help readers better understand the development process of the Shale Industry and its intrinsic characteristics.
