Features: The term "folk ceramics" refers to ceramic utensils utilized by the general populace, fired by folk kilns. Folk ceramics are the very essence and foundation of the entire history of ceramic development. Due to the emergence of "imperial kilns," folk ceramics were often regarded as "coarse products" in comparison, as their materials were not refined and their craftsmanship was not meticulous. For a long time, they were not recognized or given the attention they deserved. Although I have written a book on folk ceramics, I have never had the opportunity or time for in-depth research. Personally, I believe that in a strict sense, I am still more of an enthusiast of folk ceramics and an "amateur" researcher, lacking comprehensive and thorough investigation. I failed to connect folk ceramics from different regions with the local self-taught customs, lifestyles, usage requirements, and related artistic craftsmanship. Moreover, I did not conduct detailed surveys and records on the extraction and preparation of raw materials, the techniques and tools used, and other aspects. It can be said that I missed the crucial lesson of in-depth research and investigation.
