Features: Traditional Chinese Medicine is a great treasure trove. The Chinese people have created a complete theoretical system of TCM through their long-term struggle against diseases and accumulated extremely rich knowledge and experience in the application of traditional Chinese medicine. Rational drug use is a fundamental principle that medical workers should follow and also an eternal theme in clinical pharmacy. As the characteristics and advantages of TCM are increasingly recognized and accepted, the rational use of traditional Chinese medicine has become a topic before us. The emergence of aristolochic acid-induced kidney damage has served as a wake-up call. As pharmacy professionals, we have the responsibility and obligation to use our limited knowledge to provide medical workers and readers with some reference materials on drug use. After much deliberation, under the leadership of the Shanghai Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine Society and with the support of Shanghai Scientific and Technical Education Press, several like-minded individuals worked together for half a year to complete the collection, organization, and compilation of this material. This book not only holds great reference value for frontline medical workers but also serves as a beneficial tool for patients to use traditional Chinese medicine for self-care. As a peer of the authors, I am grateful for their hard work and efforts, and I hope more people will pay attention to the development of China's traditional Chinese and Western medicine industry, care about the rational use of traditional Chinese medicine, and contribute to the global advancement of TCM.
