From a young age, he studied calligraphy under his father, laying a solid foundation. In 1955, he moved to Beijing. Later, he joined the China Calligraphy Research Society and met the renowned calligrapher Kang Bofan, systematically studying regular script, running script, cursive script, and ancient calligraphy theories. He has practiced calligraphy uninterruptedly for over 50 years. Specializing in running and cursive scripts, his works have been entered into the "China Calligraphers Computer Database" and included in numerous dictionaries such as "Contemporary Chinese Calligraphers Dictionary" and "Dictionary of Calligraphers and Painters Across the Taiwan Strait," as well as in collections like "Contemporary Chinese Calligraphy Art Great Work" and " of Famous Works in Chinese Art and Calligraphy." He has participated in many domestic and international exhibitions, winning awards, having his works engraved on steles, and being collected by cultural institutions.
He has participated in numerous exhibitions. In 1994, he won the gold medal in the "Prince Cup" Cross-Strait Calligraphy and Painting Competition. In 1997, he received the honorary gold medal at the "Tengwang Pavilion" Calligraphy and Painting Invitational Exhibition. In 1998, he was honored as one of the "Top 100 Calligraphers of Central Plains."
He has written extensively, serving as the chief editor of newspaper columns in Hong Kong and Taiwan for nearly two decades. He has compiled and published 17 books, including essays such as "Three Connections Studio Notes," "Selections of Literary and Martial Arts," "Champions of Martial Arts," and "Gardener's Feelings." In the field of calligraphy, he has published works such as "Feng Daibiao's Running and Cursive Three-Character Classic and Disciples' Rules," "Feng Daibiao's Running and Cursive Selection of Common Ancient Poems," "Running and Cursive Calligraphy of Ancient Proverbs and," and "Feng Daibiao's Calligraphy Selection."
Currently, he concurrently serves as the honorary president of the Yuntai Calligraphy and Painting League, the honorary vice president of the Dongpo Calligraphy and Painting Institute, an advisor to the Calligraphy Research Center of the Ziyunshan Calligraphy and Painting Institute, and the honorary president of the Tengwang Pavilion Literary Society.
