Features: Leonardo da Vinci (1452-1519), the epitome of the Italian Renaissance. He was not only a painter but also a sculptor, poet, musician, architect, mechanical engineer, mathematician, and scientist, a "genius of the ages." His legacy consists of only 12 works. The mysterious smile of the woman in "Mona Lisa" leaves one pondering endlessly; "The Last Supper" is depicted with every stroke, capturing the psychology of the figures vividly.
Leonardo da Vinci (1452-1519) was a painter of the Italian Renaissance and one of the most outstanding representatives of the entire European Renaissance. He was a profound thinker, a polymathic artistic master, a scientific giant, a great philosopher, a poet, a musician, an engineer, and an inventor. He made significant contributions in almost every field. Later scholars called him the "epitome of the Renaissance," a "universal scholar," and a "genius of the ages." All the praise—and more—is well-deserved.
This art album features selected masterpieces by Leonardo da Vinci, each accompanied by information such as the author's name, subject matter, creation date, material, dimensions, technique, collector, and influence index, making it invaluable. The album is beautifully designed and printed, with the introductory section "Approaching Western Painting" offering readers knowledge about Chinese painting, appreciation, and collection, as well as guidance on using this book.
