Help premature infants safely navigate the infant stage, allowing them to grow up happy, healthy, and strong. Premature infants are a special group among newborns, and their unique physiological and pathological characteristics mean they require special care and attention from birth. With the continuous advancement of medical technology and the improvement of advanced equipment, the mortality rate of premature infants has significantly decreased, especially for extremely low birth weight infants, whose survival rates have greatly improved. The greater challenge lies in how to enhance the quality of life for these surviving premature infants and ensure they enjoy the same beautiful life as normal children. This is not only a medical issue but also a significant social concern. For example, do parents understand how to scientifically feed and care for premature and low birth weight infants? Do they know how to provide appropriate intellectual exercises during their critical growth periods? Do they understand how to effectively prevent or mitigate diseases in their children? All of these factors directly impact the child's health and future quality of life. Scientific methods can effectively improve a child's health and cognitive abilities, benefiting not only the child themselves and their family but also society as a whole. I wrote this book for premature infants with the hope that parents of these unfortunate children can gain a deeper understanding of their children, work together with doctors to create a suitable living environment for them, and provide them with more care and attention, allowing them to share the same blue sky. This is the heart's desire of a pediatrician.
