Features: The international community has both successful experiences and lessons learned in building a harmonious society. Developed capitalist countries like the United States and Europe have experienced environmental pollution, social division, and class conflicts during their development. To address these issues, nations have implemented a series of legal policies, social security measures, and moral frameworks to build social consensus, balance interests, and achieve sustainable national development, political stability, and social harmony. In stark contrast, some Latin American countries, which initially had higher development levels and better conditions, lost their momentum for sustainable growth and fell into prolonged social unrest due to their failure to effectively address increasingly acute economic and social conflicts during their development process. Today, China's efforts to build a "harmonious society" face four major challenges: solidifying the material foundation, resolving social conflicts, eliminating the contradiction between humans and nature, and improving the international environment. This book focuses on introducing international experiences in achieving social harmony, analyzes China's specific conditions, and provides in-depth insights to seek effective solutions to these conflicts.
