It includes the experiences of many famous doctors from ancient and modern times in applying the Classical Formulas, as well as the clinical insights and practical knowledge of the compilers. It can be said that this is a study on the application of Classical Formulas by teachers and students. In recent years, many young Chinese medicine practitioners who are passionate about Classical Formulas have gathered around me. Their enthusiasm for researching Classical Formulas inspires me, their experiences in applying them enlighten me, and the literature materials they collect assist me. They have become my "external graduate students," and together we have formed a team dedicated to studying Classical Formulas. The motivation for writing Classical Formulas: 100 Cases was formed through discussions between teachers and students. The purpose of compiling this book is twofold: first, to popularize Classical Formulas. Although there are numerous Classical Formulas, the most commonly used ones are no more than over a hundred. Mastering the composition, decoction and administration methods, syndrome-form relationships and modern applications, classical texts, and experiences from various schools of thought of these 100 formulas will lay a solid foundation in Classical Formula medicine. Second, to study Classical Formulas. The modern application of Classical Formulas is our primary focus. This involves issues such as standardizing syndrome-form relationships, determining the diseases and scope of modern applications, and correctly utilizing others' experiences in applying them. During the process of compiling this book, the students further clarified their thinking and organized the diverse experiences into a more structured form, deepening their understanding of Classical Formula research. This book was co-authored by teachers and students, with collaborative contributions. It includes not only my personal experiences but also those of many students. It can be said that this book is not a definitive guide to the application of Classical Formulas but rather a comprehensive review of the historical and modern experiences in applying them.
