Features: This book collects the main achievements of Chinese scholars, lawyers, civil activists, and some Japanese scholars in researching the issues of Japan's invasion of China and pursuing Japan's national war responsibilities over the past decade. The purpose of editing and publishing this book is not only to review and summarize past achievements but more importantly, to promote the Japanese government to correct its wrong understanding of history, allow the Japanese people and people around the world to learn the truth, urge the Japanese government and public to take responsibility for past aggression, compensate the victims, and thereby take practical actions to uphold the right path of peace. Our goal is to pursue human rights and human justice, not simply settling old accounts. To focus on war is for the sake of peace. In recent years, with the growth of China's national strength, certain nationalist tendencies have emerged in China, which should be noted; but we cannot equate the attention to the issues of Japan's invasion of China and filing compensation lawsuits against the Japanese government in Tokyo courts with nationalism. In line with the principle of "freedom of thought," the views collected in this volume may not be entirely consistent, but these articles and perspectives can inspire further reflection.
