Features: The Foreign Language Proficiency Examination is designed to strengthen the macro-control and standardized management of awarding master's degrees to individuals with equivalent academic qualifications, and serves as a crucial component of the national assessment for foreign language proficiency among applicants for master's degrees. In 1998, we organized relevant experts to compile and publish the "National Unified Examination Syllabus for Russian Proficiency of Individuals with Equivalent Academic Qualifications Seeking Master's Degrees." Based on the experience of the pilot program, we subsequently revised the syllabus twice in 1999 and 2003, with the third edition being released in 2003. Over the past two years, following suggestions from a broad range of candidates and experts, we have organized relevant experts to conduct a third revision of this book based on the cumulative experience of the unified examination. The revised syllabus will serve as the basis for the unified question-setting of the Russian Proficiency Examination for individuals with equivalent academic qualifications seeking master's degrees in the coming years. It will also serve as a reference for universities in conducting related teaching and tutoring, as well as a study guide for candidates preparing for the examination.
