Features: This book is the final outcome of the National "Fifteenth Five-Year Plan" Social Science Research Project "Research on the Interaction between Economic Globalization and Economic Transition." This project focuses on the interaction between economic globalization and economic transition, and the book is divided into four parts. Part I (Chapters 1-3) serves as the analytical framework of the book, first reviewing the relevant theories of economic globalization and economic transition separately. Part II (Chapters 4-7) provides a detailed discussion on how the economic transition of planned economy countries becomes a foundational factor for economic globalization. Part III (Chapters 8-12) specifically analyzes the ways in which economic globalization influences economic transition. Part IV (Chapters 14-16) focuses on empirical analysis. Taking Eastern Europe, Russia, and China as case studies, it specifically examines the interaction between economic globalization and economic transition in these countries and regions.
Centered around the research theme, the book primarily contributes the following innovations: First, we systematically review and critique the relevant theories of economic globalization and economic transition. Second, using the aforementioned interaction model, we theoretically discuss the mutually restrictive and mutually reinforcing relationship between economic globalization and economic transition. Third, our research combines theory and empirical analysis. Through empirical studies of Eastern Europe, Russia, and China, we use a wealth of data and case studies to validate the theories and models of the interaction between economic globalization and economic transition. We hope this research outcome will enrich the theoretical system and connotations of the developing theories of economic globalization and the economics of transition. At the same time, we hope this study will provide some valuable insights for China's institutional reform and the construction of socialist economy.
