Features: The focus of Observations and Reflections on Linguistic Phenomena is twofold. First, it examines prefixes and suffixes such as " (zǔ)," " (bǐ)," " (fù)," " (mǔ)," " (wēng)," " (pó)," " (bó)," " (dà)," " (gē)," " (zǐ)," and " (ér)," which are found in Chinese dialects, minority languages, and neighboring countries' languages. The use of these prefixes and suffixes is clearly a major feature of the Sino-Tibetan language family. Moreover, their usage reflects the trajectory of ancient civilization in the region and is linked to issues such as the origin of complex consonants in languages, as well as the expression of gender and number. Second, it explores the various forms of linguistic contact and fusion between languages. Some of these contacts have traceable origins, while others remain difficult to explain for now and may take time to resolve in the short term. Therefore, what is crucial—or at least what falls within my personal interest and scope—is identifying similarities, similarities, and differences, or uncovering the extraordinary phenomena that are not immediately apparent. It is hoped that this will contribute to better solutions for such problems in the future.
