As a World Heritage site, Lijiang Ancient Town is jointly formed by three relatively independent urban construction units: Baisha Ancient Town, Shuhe Ancient Town, and Dayan Ancient Town. The tourism environment of Lijiang Ancient Town studied in this book primarily focuses on Dayan Ancient Town. The research on the tourism environment of Lijiang Ancient Town is a fundamental and crucial task for the protection of the ancient town, holding significant theoretical meaning and practical value. The purpose of the research is to grasp various types of tourism environmental basic data and information of the ancient town through environmental surveys, providing theoretical and methodological support for environmental protection in World Heritage tourism development activities, and striving to find effective pathways to achieve a win-win situation between heritage protection and heritage management.
