Features: Concrete admixtures are a new technology in concrete technology, and almost all types of concrete, mortar, and cement paste can be improved in performance through admixtures. The application of concrete admixtures has a history of over 70 years, and its research, production, and application have developed rapidly. Concrete admixtures have promoted the development of new concrete technologies, such as self-leveling concrete, underwater concrete construction technology, shotcrete, ready-mixed concrete, and pumped concrete. Due to the widespread use of admixtures, they are now referred to as the fifth constituent material of concrete. Since 1986, a series of national standards and industrial standards have been formulated successively for various types of widely used concrete admixtures to regulate the quality of admixture products and promote their development. To help manufacturers and related enterprises understand the standards for concrete admixtures, the Second Editorial Office of China Standard Press organized the editing of the "Compendium of Concrete Admixtures and Related Standards." This compendium collects all current standards for concrete admixtures approved and published by the end of July 2004, including 35 national standards, 13 building material industry standards, 1 power industry standard, and 1 chemical industry standard. The appendix excerpts 2 metallurgical industry standards and 3 Beijing municipal construction standards.
