Features: Founded in 1904, Huanggang High School in Hubei Province was designated as a key high school in Hubei in 1953 and was awarded the title of "Advanced Unit in the National Education System" in 1986. In 2002, it was recognized as an "Advanced Unit in National Spiritual Civilization Construction." Huanggang High School upholds the educational philosophy of "putting people first and establishing the school with virtue," forming the distinctive educational feature of "comprehensive development with special talents" and exploring a teaching style of "seeking truth, refinement, diversity, and innovation." The outstanding performance in college entrance exams and competitions is the inevitable result of its long-term implementation of quality-oriented education, and only one aspect of its abundant teaching achievements. When it comes to cultivating students, what magic formula does Huanggang High School possess? What function does it have in building sand into a tower? What ability does it have in turning stone into gold? These are questions I often hear. If one thinks that Huanggang High School merely follows the of the college entrance exams and passively engages in test-taking, that is incorrect. Huanggang High School does not advocate mechanical memorization or passive problem-solving. If it has any exceptional qualities, it lies precisely in its ability to fully understand the intentions of test-setters and profoundly grasp their underlying principles, becoming a leader rather than a blind follower. Huanggang High School does not oppose teachers immersing themselves in a sea of problems but strongly advocates students stepping out of it. It opposes students doing mechanical, simple, repetitive, and tedious exercises but requires them to complete necessary ones. We encourage students to engage in flexible and diverse problems with broad applications, allowing them to enrich their knowledge, develop abilities, and enhance their qualities through the process of problem-solving. If Huanggang High School has any other successes, it is that while cultivating and shaping a large number of outstanding students, it has also forged its teaching staff, creating renowned master teachers in Hubei Province. These teachers possess deep scientific and cultural literacy, innovative educational concepts, unique teaching styles, artistic skills, and abundant teaching achievements. To showcase the talents of Huanggang High School teachers and share their teaching results, we have organized first-line core teachers from the school to meticulously plan and compile three series of books: "Huanggang High School Homework Books," "Huanggang High School Exam Papers," and "Huanggang High School 2006 College Entrance Exam Second and Third Round Training Questions." The "Huanggang High School Homework Books" series is based on the "Teaching Syllabus" and "Exam Syllabus," highlighting the role of "homework" in the process of students forming learning abilities, problem-solving skills, and exam-taking abilities, reflecting the inevitable connection between Huanggang High School students' brilliant performance in various exams and their rigorous daily practice. The series is characterized by the following features:
1. Appropriate exercise positioning: In terms of exercise arrangement, this series focuses on consolidating and gradually improving the key points, question types, and methods associated with each knowledge point. The positioning of the series is to help students elevate their problem-solving skills through progressive exercises in the form of ability-based, open-ended, applied, and comprehensive types.
2. Moderate difficulty gradient: The ratio of basic, intermediate, and difficult questions in this series is 6:3:1, making it suitable for the use of the vast majority of middle schools. Most questions are labeled with A, B, or C to indicate their difficulty levels, with appropriate and clear requirements.
3. Detailed solution hints: The answers at the back of the book are appropriately detailed, with more thorough solutions provided for difficult questions. It is particularly worth mentioning that the well-timed hints sometimes play a pivotal role. This series emphasizes the originality and quality of the authors' exercises, with rigorous review and proofreading at every stage, striving to become a unique gem in the educational supplement market.
