Features: The Classic of Poetry is the first anthology of poetry in Chinese literary history and is timeless. However, since it was elevated to the status of Confucian classic, its meanings have been distorted by scholars, with every poem forced into the halo of "innocence" and marked with the label of "gentle and mellow."
