Liang Wenjing and Xiao Yuling have a son, Liang Xiao. Liang Xiao is unruly from a young age and offends the villagers, to the point where the entire family has no place to stand. They decide to move to the Mongolian Gobi Desert, the hometown of Xiao Yuling.
On the way, they hear that the hero Yun Wan Cheng is gathering at Bai Zhang Ping to resist the Yuan Dynasty. The Liang family goes to watch, but unexpectedly, Xiao Qianjue, the master of Xiao Yuling, appears. During the fight between Xiao Qianjue and the heroes, Liang Xiao unintentionally reveals his parents' location. Xiao Qianjue follows them and kills Liang Wenjing, taking Xiao Yuling with him.
