Features: This textbook has a broad perspective, covering the most important areas of China's economy, such as consumption, foreign trade, banking, insurance, and real estate, ensuring high coverage of various business activity themes and related business vocabulary. At the same time, it incorporates current economic and business hot topics in China, allowing learners to not only study business Chinese but also stay informed about China's latest economic developments. The overall framework design of this textbook is innovative, focusing on the learning of common business vocabulary while also training students in reading business articles, making it highly practical. The target audience for this textbook is foreign students with a certain foundation in Chinese. It can serve as a foundational textbook for business or economics majors or be used in elective courses for business or economics in Chinese as a second language. The textbook consists of 16 lessons, each comprising six parts: vocabulary, vocabulary exercises, text, comprehensive exercises, supplementary reading, and related links. Each lesson includes two texts, two supplementary readings, and two related links, all of which share similar or related themes, providing teachers with ample material choices for class. The content of these materials focuses on common hot topics in the recent economic landscape. There are two types of exercises: vocabulary exercises before text learning and comprehensive exercises after text learning. The comprehensive exercises include both comprehension-based tasks and applied tasks, such as classroom discussions and post-class surveys. The related links section either supplements the text content or provides explanations for economic terms mentioned in the text, allowing teachers to select and use them as needed based on specific circumstances. With the development of China's economy, the demand for business Chinese learning among foreign students has been increasing. How to adapt to this demand and improve the efficiency of business Chinese teaching has been a continuous consideration for the authors in their teaching practice. Through reflection on teaching practices and analysis of student needs, the authors have gained a deeper and clearer understanding of the concepts of teaching business Chinese to foreigners. These concepts involve the selection of textbook content, the arrangement of texts, and the design of exercises. The overall design philosophy of this textbook is to balance the learning of common business vocabulary and the acquisition of reading skills, interwoven as the main and auxiliary threads. Through this learning, students can grasp the common sentence structures, structures, formats, and writing styles of business and economics-related articles, improving their understanding of such texts and deepening their understanding of China's economy.
