Part 1 compiles national laws, policies, and standards related to urban pollution treatment and prevention; Part 2 focuses on the basic work for pollution prevention in urban sewage treatment construction projects, elaborating on important issues such as preliminary planning, factory site selection, drainage systems, feasibility reports, engineering design, and pollution control management; Part 3, consisting of nine chapters, introduces practical process technologies for urban sewage treatment plants typically using secondary or enhanced secondary treatment; Part 4 considers special process technologies that may be required in specific regions or when local conditions demand special requirements for sewage treatment plant construction, such as natural purification technologies for wastewater, practical technologies for sludge treatment and harmless disposal, etc.; Part 5 is dedicated to practical technologies for sludge treatment and harmless disposal during urban sewage treatment processes; Part 6 primarily discusses the localization of mechanical equipment for urban sewage treatment and provides relevant information and data to assist construction units in selecting and purchasing urban sewage treatment equipment.
